Ideas for Music video

I like this routine, I will make something similar to this, which isn't too complicated but is still fast and powerful like this.



This is an all female dance crew, this will be one of my inspiration to the choreography. Firstly they are all females like my artists, they have put different types of dancing in it which are strong and suite the music and the chorus is fun and easy to do which is my favourite bit of this video.



This has a bit of everything in envision and more. I like they camera and editing technique, using special effects; specially at 1:30 when they are laughing and it looks distorted. The split screens the solos, the formations, different camera angels are definetely what i have been looking for. The idea of having the solo singing in one split screen with dancers in the other looks good. The movements are fun and powerful. I may consider having male dancers.



This has been done in a studio like we are planning to do. I like the change in backgorund colours and contrast from shilottes  and neon shilottes to normal. Gives us more of variety to play with. I like how we have performance from the artist but sh ealso dances with the dancers. Also the solo dancers with tricks in slow motion. She only has four dances which is effective enough.

Group Female Artists

This is a female UK group, what i like from this music video is they all got the similar look, which is very sexy but they look like dancers and hip hop artist. I like the way they all do the same routines with dancers in the background, which is what we want to go for as well. They have many shots together to show they are together in as one, which means i would need to have my artist together most of the time.





I like the split screens of the artist and how they all have complete different looks, this is much different  from RD but it still work, as the split screen as the equal amount of shots on them. I love the extream colours and themes used in this video makes it look more mainstream. I will consider experimenting with different make up and costume; goign out of the ordinary.

Gender Representation: Beyoncé, Why dont you love me

The second it starts; the old music, the font of the title and the way Beyoncé has dressed reminds us of the very old stereotype of women, in the 1950's and 60's; when women were highly stereotyped as house wives, and useless in any sort of manly job.

Firstly we have her fixing a car, which she fails to do as she doesn't look serious. this is because of the way she is dressed, in mans shirt but her boobs are being displayed, jeans which are cut very short and she is wearing heels, which a mechanic wouldn't wear. Beyonce's facial expression are seen as dumb and very flirtatious.

She plays a role of a dumb, flirtatious woman, who is pretending to be a brilliant house wife, however she burns the food, dusts here and there not thoroughly and simply doesn't do thing well like even flowering plants, she just looks like she is having fun, and is more interested in flirting to the camera.

All her outfits define her curves, making her look like an item, specially by her movements of slapping her ass and playing with her boobs. The song is all about why you should love her, but she portrays a desperate woman, making men see her only as an object.

We see how desperate she is when she is in the room, smoking and and crying which woman are known more to be emotional, but not known as smokers, unless they are depressed and trying to impress the opposite sex.

In this song and video, we get a strong person in the lyrics who tells us she is smart and independent but we get a contrast of women who are just flirtatious, dependent on others and weak which is the main stereotype of women. the lyrics show a modern day stereotype of women now.

My Music Biography

Early years
From a young age of around 5 I was really into pop music; my artists was the spice girls i had stickers and i remember my mum buying me the album, my first ever album. Another major artist was Britney, i would always get up and dance to her music videos, in fact i use to know the choreography for Britney spears crazy. One of the most memorable songs was christina Auguilera.


This song means a lot to me, as it was the first routine I made , with my two best friends in primary school (Ria and Anita). We were the best dancers in school, winning most of the competitions in the playground. This may be the reason why I have so much passion for dance.

Other Side of me
Although from young I have enjoyed up beat dancing music, I also really enjoy soft/pop rock. they often have meaning to their songs, and just enjoyable to relax and just listen. This song just really makes me happy.


Secondary years

During late secondary i really got into the mainstream hip hop and R&B. What was even more surprising was that i became a fun of rapping, all down to Nicki Minaj mix tape. In school i would rap this song identically, knowing every word and expression. This lead me on to listening to artist such as Lil-Wayne and drake, becoming a Drake fan, downloading every single album. Another route I have gone down is looking for unknown female rappers, such as the UK artist and up coming Azealia Banks.


Currently

My favourite artist right now and has been for a while is Beyonce, for many reasons , for the music, her look, her performance and her dignity. She has excelled as an artist and is truly superstar. Her album "4" after downloading it really made me fall in love with her, her music is fun and danceable but can be emotional and meaning full such as "I was here". Her videos are always at a high standard in dancing,singing and performance.
